本研究は、刑事施設等における立ち直り支援に不可欠な対話的空間の創出のために、北欧の矯正・更生領域において活用されている「リフレクティング」を用いたプログラムの実践研究を行うものである。具体的には、①北欧諸国の先進的実践現場の詳細な実態調査を行い、その方法的特質を明らかにするとともに、その研究成果を踏まえ、②日本の矯正・更生の現場と協働して中・長期的な参加型アクションリサーチを行い、現在の日本の現場においてリフレクティングを試行、評価、改善し、実際に現場職員らによって活用可能なモデルを構築する。2022年度、国内では、リフレクティングの文献研究、および、国内の矯正施設におけるアクションリサーチを継続実施した。アクションリサーチに関しては、具体的なフィールドとして、美祢社会復帰促進センターおよび福岡少年院と当研究室で共同研究の協定を結び、それぞれの施設に毎月の訪問を継続。そのなかで職員向けのリフレクティング研修、入所者とのリフレクティング・トークの実践、職員間でのリフレクティング・トーク、全職員を対象とした「心理的安全性」尺度を含む質問紙調査と、その結果を踏まえた会話の場の設定などを実施することができた。とりわけ、少年院におけるリフレクティング・プロセスの活用可能性に関しては、他施設においても参考となる実践と組織風土の変容の蓄積が生じている。国外では、刑事施設にリフレクティングを導入しているノルウェー各地の現場での情報収集を計画していたものの、新型コロナウィルスをめぐる状況により、実現することができなかった。ただし、オンライン上での情報交換は継続している。
