今年度は、「人間発達の厚生経済学」に関わるいくつかの重要な成果を纏め上げ、発表する機会を得た。第一に、資源配分ルールに関する非帰結主義的な自律性原理、非厚生主義的帰結主義的な配分衡平性原理、厚生主義的帰結主義的な配分効率性原理という3つの互いに相異なりながらも不可欠な基準の両立可能性問題において、一定の成果を得た。そこでの「非厚生主義的帰結主義的な配分衡平性原理」としては、アマルティア・センの「機能と潜在能力」の議論に基づいた規範的評価の指標を定式化し、個々人の「人間発達への機会の平等化」政策を、個々人の基本的自由を侵害することなく、また資源配分のパレート効率性を損なう事無く遂行するルールとして構成することに成功した。その成果は『International Journal of Economic Theory』誌にて公表される事となった。また、前年度から引き続く課題の一つであった、福祉国家政策の経済理論の研究に関しても、ヴァン・パレースが提起したベーシック・インカム政策を、その経済的資源配分の規範的特徴に関して公理的に特徴付けることに成功し、一定の成果を『経済研究』誌にて公表した。ベーシック・インカム政策の誘因両立的特徴に関しても、メカニズム・デザインの理論的枠組みを適用しつつ公理的に特徴付けることに成功し、その成果は2004年7月のフランス・マルセイユで開催された「第2回ゲーム理論学会世界大会」、同じく大阪大学で開催された「社会的選択と厚生に関する世界大会」などで研究報告がなされ、現在、論文をレフリー制の国際学術誌に投稿中である。また、「機能と潜在能力」に基づいた規範的評価の指標を使った「人間発達の機会」保証を巡る主体間の交渉問題を定式化し、協力ゲームの枠組みでその交渉解に関する研究を進行させ、その成果の一部は2本のDiscussion Paperとして纏められた。
