项目摘要

平成15年度は、動物に常在する人獣共通感染症や咬傷などを考慮し、これらの問題を克服できる人工知能を有する動物型ロボット、動物型福祉玩具を病院や施設において患者様や施設利用者様に介在し、本来の動物介在の一指標とすべく、及ぼす影響を検証した。その結果、ロボットや福祉玩具は、動物の代用物としての成果が特に精神的な面においてみられた。また、セラピーを行う上で、新たな一技法として活用できる可能性が示唆された。しかし、一方で、動物と比較した場合、単純な動作、気持ちの問題などで限界がみられた。平成16年度〜17年度は、病院や施設に本来の動物を導入し、患者様や施設利用者様の生活の質(Quality Of Life ; QOL)の向上を目的とし、動物介在を行い、動物のいる入院環境について探った。病院でも感染症や咬傷などの問題を比較的容易にクリアできる岐阜県瑞浪市にある神経科・精神科病院と愛知県にある介護老人保健施設に動物(犬)を導入した。その結果、多数の参加者においてフェイス・スケール評価上で「プラス」の気分がみられ、また、表情や言動においても「プラス」の変化がみられた。このことから、動物介在を希望する患者様や施設利用者様において、動物がいる入院環境の重要性が示唆された。さらに、緩和ケア病棟入院患者様のQOLの向上を目的とし、動物介在の影響、動物のいる入院環境を検証するため、本学と病院側の倫理審査を受けた。本学は承認され、現在、病院側の倫理審査中である。
