项目摘要

The aim of this study was to evaluate effect of primer on toothbrush-dentifrice abrasion of composite-metal interface. Flat plate specimens were cast from the T-Alloy H (GC corp.) pure titanium metal. They were air-borne particle abraded with 70 μm alumina, and were either unprimed or conditioned with two types of primers. One primer is designed for noble metals as an Alloy Primer (Kuraray), and the other is the Estenia C&B Opaque Primer (Kuraray) material. An Estenia C&B OA3 (Kuraray) light-polymerized opaque resin and an Estema C&B E1 (Kuraray) indirect composite were bonded to the side of metal specimens. All specimens were stored in 37℃ distilled water for 2 weeks prior to testing. Toothbrush abrasion test was performed with 3.4 N vertical load and 20,000 reciprocal strokes, and used the Crest (P&G) dentifrice. Wear depth was determined by means of a scanning laser microscope (1LM21) and the results were analyzed by Mann-Whitney U test (P=0.05 level). Worn surfaces were observed by scanning electron microscope (S54300). The average wear depths in μm (n=8) with standard deviations in parentheses were 3.5 (0.5) for the primed group and 8.0 (1.4) for the unprimed group. Significant difference was found between the primed group and the unprimed group. Scanning electron microscopic was observed that the opaque resin was conspicuously detected characteristic worn pattern for unprimed specimens, whereas primed specimens did not show apparent worn pattern. It can be considered that application of the primer was useful as enhanced wear resistance of the bonded specimens at the composite-metal interface.
