前年度までの研究において、ベンヤミンの青年期の著作群には、近代の文学および哲学の領域における「美学的イデオロギー」(ポール・ド・マン)の問題に直結しうる洞察が含まれることが分かった。これについて考察するために(1)ベンヤミンのヘルダーリン論それ自体をドイツ文学の枠組みのなかで精密に読解し、(2)そこで得られた知見をいわゆる「美学的イデオロギー」の問題に結びつける、という二つの試みを並行して行った。(1)に関する研究成果としては、a.日本独文学会2005年秋季研究発表会での発表に基づき論文を執筆、『ドイツ文学』第130号に掲載された。b.10月14日に日本独文学会2006年秋季研究発表会で口頭発表を行い、ベンヤミンのヘルダーリン読解がヘルダーリンの研究史においてもつ意義を論じた。c.ベンヤミンのヘルダーリン読解を受け継ぎ、それをより合理的に展開したと考えられるヴィンフリート・メンニングハウスの著作『生の半ば-ヘルダーリンの詩学についての試論』について書評を執筆、『ワセダ・ブレッター』第14号に掲載された。(2)に関する研究成果としては、a.2006年4月24日から4月30日にかけてドイツ・ワイマール大学およびエアフルト大学及び2006年8月28日から9月2日にかけて早稲田大学で行われたDAAD協賛のセミナー「The 2006 International Study Progam」に参加し、口頭発表を行った。また両プログラムでの発表に基づき英語で論文を執筆、『Proceedings of the 2006 Intemational Study Program』に掲載された。b.2006年9月30日に早稲田大学ドイツ語学・文学会第14回研究発表会で口頭発表を行い、ベンヤミンが文学的・哲学的記述における超越論的意識の問題を、どのように把握していたかについて論じた。
