项目摘要

連合学習場面において、複数の手がかり刺激が、ある結果事象と対提示されると、各手がかり刺激に対して生じる連合学習は減少する。本研究の目的は、この刺激競合現象のメカニズムに関する実験的検証をラット、ヒト、さらにはより低次な動物など複数の被験体種を対象として行うことである。具体的には、これまで広く受け入れられてきた限定資源仮説から導かれる、競合する個々の手がかり刺激に対する連合学習は変動するが、全手がかり刺激に対する連合学習の総量(総和)は一定となる、という予測を、ラットやより低次な動物を対象とした条件づけ場面、ヒトを対象とした因果推論場面などさまざまな場面において、実験的に検証する。本年度は、最初二ヶ月の間、昨年度から引き続き行ったアカハライモリを被験体に用いた研究を行ったのに加え、6月より渡米し、米国ニューヨーク州立大学ビンガムトン校のMiller教授との共同研究として、ラットやヒトを対象とした実験を精力的に行った。イモリを被験体に用いた条件づけ事態においては、明確な成果をあげるには至らなかったが、ラットを被験体に用いた実験事態において、本研究計画の焦点である、刺激競合場面において同一の結果事象が用いられているにもかかわらず生じる条件づけ量が変動するという現象を発見した。これらの成果はすでに論文として投稿し、審査結果を受けて現在修正中である。また、逆行ブロッキングなど、他の刺激競合現象に関する実験的研究でも成果を上げ、現在投稿準備中である。また、並行し、ヒトを対象とした随伴性判断事態における実験研究を行った。この結果、実験場面がある程度確立されたため、今後の研究の進展が期待される。さらに、石田雅人教授と、他複数の研究者との共同で、教育関係者のストレス解消法に関する書物を翻訳し、出版した。さらに、石田雅人教授と他研究者との共同で、イルカ介在活動に関する文献調査を行った。
