近代中国における西洋人宣教師の中国語研究における成果の1つ「聖書の中国語訳」について、語学的な面からのアプローチを試みることが本研究の主旨である。本研究を中国語訳聖書の系譜の総合的な研究の最初歩と位置付け、中国語訳聖書の語彙や文体の特徴を明らかにし、今後、白話作品などの語彙や文体と比較対照を行い、西洋人(宣教師)が学習した19世紀初頭の中国語の一端を解明するための、基本的な環境・条件を整えることを目標としてきた。16年度には、聖書中国語訳最初期の3聖書、バセ訳「四史攸編』(18世紀初頭)、モリソン訳『神天聖書』新約部分(1814-1823)、マーシュマン訳『聖経』新約部分(1815-1822)の3者の全文電子テキスト化を行い完成し、現在は紙媒体版について最終的な文字校正の段階である。さらに、研究の途中経過として口頭発表「初期中国語訳聖書の系譜-初探・『四史攸編』とその語彙について-」(上海同済大学)を行い、同テーマで論文(関西大学中国文学会)を発表した。17年度にはつづいて、3聖書本文対照表(紙媒体およびデータベース)を作成し、これについても最終的な文字校正の段階である。さらに語彙索引の作成作業にはいり、『四史攸編』4福音書該当部分は作業を完了し、文字校正にはいっている。上述した研究内容と、近日中に完成・公開できる成果は以下の通りである。1)「初期中国語訳聖書の系譜-初探・『四史攸編』とその語彙について-」(関西大学中国文学会紀要26号H17.3月)2)3聖書本文対照表1・4福音書該当部分(初稿・文字校正中)、本文対照表2・使徒行傳以下(初稿・文字校正中)3)『四史攸編』(バセ18世紀初頭)全文電子テキスト(完成・公開準備中)4)『神天聖書』(モリソン1813-23新約部分『耶蘇基利斯督我主救者新遺詔書』)全文電子テキスト(完成・公開準備中)5)『聖経』(マーシュマン1815-22新約部分)全文電子テキスト(完成・公開準備中)6)『四史攸編』4福音書該当部分語彙索引(初稿・文字校正中)7)『神天聖書』(『耶蘇基利斯督我主救者新遺詔書』)4福音書と使徒行傳部分語彙索引(初稿・文字校正中)8)『聖経』4福音書と使徒行傳部分語彙索引(初稿・文字校正中)なお、上記6〜8の語彙索引はいずれも最終校正中であり、近日中の公開をめざしている。上記以外の部分も、ひきつづき索引を作成して、3聖書の語彙索引・本文対照表を利用し、具体的な語彙の異同や文体の調査、比較対照によって、西洋人が学んで運用した中国語の特徴を具体例を以て明らかにしたい。さらに本研究は、モリソン訳につづくブリッジマン以降の官話訳聖書に至る中国語訳聖書翻訳の系譜について本格的な語学的調査を行う上での出発点となり得るもので、今後の当該および周辺分野の研究に一定の具体的な方法を提供することができると考える。

Modern China, Western missionaries and China language research achievements 1 "Holy Book of China language", the linguistic aspects of the study. This study is aimed at the initial position of the study on the genealogy of China's sacred books, the characteristics of the words and styles of China's sacred books, the comparison of the words and styles of the vernacular works, the understanding of one end of China's language by Westerners (missionaries) at the beginning of the 19th century, and the adjustment of the basic environment and conditions. In the 16th year, the electronic translation of the full text of the three holy books of the first period of China language, the four historical compilations (early 18th century), the new Testament part of the holy book of God (1814-1823), and the new Testament part of the holy book (1815-1822) was completed. Now, the paper media version is in the final stage of text correction. In the course of his research, he presented an oral paper entitled "Pedigree of the Early China Language Sacred Books-A Preliminary Study of the Words of the Four Historians"(Shanghai Tongyi University). 17th year, the third holy book text comparison table (paper media and text) is created, and the final text correction stage is set. 4. The work of the Gospels is completed, and the text correction is completed. The above research contents are completed in the near future. This study aims to provide some concrete methods for the future research on the boundary of Mandarin Chinese and China.
