1. We made the surveillance of health condition for Gifu University Alumni after 10, 20, and 30 year-graduation We made the questionnaire sheets which questions were relating body weight, body mass index (BMI), life-style, and results of annual health check-up. We have send it, and asked alumni to answer by themselves and to send it back by mail. We analyzed the relationships between the BMI in university days and the health condition after graduation of university. Men after 20-year and 30-year graduation have gained body weight significantly by 8.3± 5.9 kg (3.0±0.6 in BMI) and 5.8±62 kg (0.9±0.5 in BMI), respectively. Even in men after 10-year graduation, they have gained body weight 3.7±5.8kg (1.3±0.4 in BMI). There were strong relationship between the incidence of fatty liver hyperlipidemia, and hypertension and the increase of body weight after university graduation.2. We have picked up diem students from 7500 of Gifu University Students, and made the health education and surveillance of eating habit by physicians and public health nurse. We elm measured insulin resistance, liver function, and lipid concentration in obese student before and after the education. We have analyzed the relationship between the effect of health education and the eating habit. There was significant positive effect of the health education by the public health nurses and physicians on the miff management of body weight in university students.
