A Philological Study of the Kyushu and Ryukyu dialects

琉球方言与九州方言有很多共同点，尽管前者的古老属性一直被强调。本研究旨在对有着丰富方言文献的琉球和九州方言进行对比研究，并对对马方言进行了研究，结果表明，古林栖地的语言是对马方言，通过与东村芥田草语言的比较，指出了一段--动词变位中的ka现象应从γ-词干动词的出现来考察。γ-词干动词的出现在九州和琉球方言中广泛存在，并指出琉球八重山方言的w>B与东芥田草方言的kw>p之间的相似性。

The Ryukyu dialects have much in common with the Kyushu dialects, although the archaic properties of the former have always been emphasized. This study aimed at the contrastive and comparative studies into the Ryukyu and Kyushu dialects, both of which have valuable dialectal documents.We conducted the research into the Tsushima dialect, and we have revealed that the language of Kourin-suchi is the Tsushima dialect, based on the comparison with the language of Higurashi-Akutagusa.We pointed out that 1-dan-ka phenomena in verbal conjugation should be studied from the view point of the emergence of γ-stem verbs. The emergence of γ-stem verbs has been observed widely across the Kyushu and Ryukyu dialects.We also pointed out the similarity between the phonological changes w>b, observed in the Yaeyama subdialects of Ryukyuan, on the one hand, and kw>p, observed in Higurashi-Akutagusa, on the other.
