项目摘要

本研究は、研究代表者がこれまで『ダンス!20世紀初頭の美術と舞踊』展(2003年)の企画・編集、「崔承喜の「朝鮮舞踊」をめぐって」(国際シンポジウム「戦争と表象/美術 20世紀以後」平成17年度科研費研究成果公開促進費(A)及び『戦争と表象/美術20世紀以後』(美学出版、2007年刊))などを通して培ってきた、美術と演劇・舞踊に関する研究を更に深めることを目的としている。今年度は、1931年と1934年に来日公演を行い、石井漠など日本の舞踊家たちに大きな影響を与えた舞踊家アレクサンダー・サハロフに注目し、美術と舞踊の一つの交錯を明らかにすることに努めた。サンロフの舞踊家としてのデビューの契機は、ミュンヘンで「青騎士」グループを形成する美術家ヴァシリー・カンディンスキーやアレクセイ・ヤウレンスキーとの交遊であった。カンディンスキーの芸術活動の中で、その初期に熱心に取り組まれた舞台作品は、彼の綜合芸術の理念との関連から重要な意味をもつものであったことは知られているが、その舞台作品に舞踊家として協力したのが若き日のサハロフである。そこで、1910年前後のミュンヘンにおけるサンロフとカンディンスキーら美術家たちとの交遊を明らかにし、石井漠におけるサハロフへの興味と受容を調べ、またサハロフ来日時を中心に日本の同時代の批評家たちの反応について文献調査をすすめた。また、日本でのカンディンスキー受容についての先行研究に多くを学びながら、彼の舞台美術の受容のなかにサンロフの影響が見られるかどうかについても調査した。
