Das Ziel dieses Forschungsvorhabens ist die theoretische Beschreibung der Ladungswechselvorgänge von trockenlaufenden Rotationsverdränger-Vakuumpumpen, um daraus die thermische Belastung dieses Maschinentyps modellieren und berechnen zu können. Dem Antragsteller sind keine Arbeiten auf diesem Gebiet bekannt, dessen Umfang von der Molekular- über die Knudsen- bis hin zur viskosen Strömung reicht. Gleichzeitig aber gewinnt die Vakuumtechnik zunehmend in der Halbleiterfertigung, der Metallurgie und der Verfahrenstechnik an Bedeutung.
