项目摘要

本課題は,WWW上で提供されている多種多様なコンテンツを分かりやすく提示するのに必要な「サイトマップ」の効率的な構築と提供が行える環境の研究開発を目指すものである。本年度は以下を中心に検討を進めた。1)サイトマップ構築・検出手法の開発およびウェブ空間の解析前年度から引き続き,サイトマップ検出手法の開発を行った。手法検討の一部として,大学ドメインに焦点をあて,50前後の各種国公私立大学のサイト構造を調査し,一部についてはクローラの開発を行った。調査結果の一部については国立情報学研究所学術コンテンツサービス研究開発センターと連携して,実サービス利用のために提供した。2)既存のWeb上における利用者の行動調査Web上における利用者の探索行動のうち,どのような点で支援が必要となるかについて調べるために,基礎調査を行った。ユーザ実験の方法論でログ解析と探索中の視線分析を行うとともに,事後インタビューを含む深い質的な調査の2つを組み合わせた調査により,情報探索行動の全体を把握することを目指した。調査結果については,日本認知科学会および情報知識学会での口頭発表を予定している。順次,複数の国際会議で報告を行う予定である。なお,本年度は最終年度であり,残念ながら,当初の目標であった,サイトマップ構築のためのプロトタイプ提供までは到達できなかった。しかしながら,本研究を通じて,Web空間の性質と利用者行動の両者の側面を統合するような基礎調査が完了した。今後,Webサイト運営に資するプロトタイプ化にとりくむ予定である。
