项目摘要

小学校算数科において、児童の持つ可能性を最大限に引き出すため、よりきめ細かな個に応じる指導が必要となっている。現在行われている少人数指導がより効果的なものとなるためには、指導法だけでなく、指導のねらい、指導内容などを含めた全体的な見直しが必要である。すなわち少人数指導に対応した新しいカリキュラムの策定である。本研究の目的は、小学校算数科「数と計算」領域において少人数指導に対応した新しいカリキュラムを開発することである。以下のことが明らかとなった。「数と計算」領域における少人数指導の実態及び教師の意識を把握するために、実態調査を行った。(1)少人数指導を実施した単元は、「A数と計算」が多く、全回答数の50.9%であった。少人数指導を実施している単元は、「4年・わり算」、「5年・小数のかけ算・小数のかけ算・小数のかけ算とわり算」、「6年・分数のたし算とひき算」であった。(2)少人数指導を実施した学年として、4年生以上が多かった。(3)少人数指導を実施したねらいは、「児童に対するよりきめ細やかな指導をするため」が62.1%と最も多かった。児童の関心・意欲に重点を置いた少人数指導が重要である。そこで小学校4年「分数」の単元を例に取り上げ、関心・意欲別少人数指導の単元構成のあり方を示した。(1)分数を調べる活動に重点を置いたコースとして、児童は、分数の中にある表記のしやすさ、もとになる大きさが任意であるといった算数的よさについて話し合いながら分数について理解を深める。(2)日常との結びつきに重点を置いたコースとして、児童は、日常生活でみられる分数を素材に、生活と分数との結びつきに着目しながら分数を学習する。
