(1)1945年度以降、現在までに報告されている、朝鮮半島洛東江以東地域で確認された日本列島系資料を抽出し、データベースの作成をおこなった。また、最近における研究の進展が著しい洛東江以西地域における日本列島系資料についても集成を進めた。(2)古墳時代の渡来文化や地域間交流に関するシンポジュウム(平成18年度開催、考古学研究会総会、国立歴史博物館国際シンポジウム「境界の形成と認識」など)に参加し、そこで古墳時代の渡来文化の受容様相について発表を行なった。(3)研究課題に関連する新たに刊行された論文集、発掘調査報告書、古代の日朝交渉に関する古代史の文献を集中的に購入し、そこに記載された日本列島系、朝鮮半島系資料の抽出・分析を行なった。(4)古墳時代の渡来文化の展開をまとめていく上で、考古学的な成果と古代史の成果を総合化することを図った。特にこれまで注目されてこなかった洛東江以東地域(いわゆる新羅地域)と日本列島の交渉について、古代史においても研究が進展していることを知り、それを参考にして考古資料を評価した。(5)特に、百済や諸加耶との関係性や、倭の政治経済的立場からのみ、日本列島における渡来文化の受容と展開を評価していた、これまでの研究史の問題点を浮き彫りにさせた。すなわち、朝鮮半島の諸政治権力にも倭と不断の交渉を進める目的(半島内における政治経済的安定の模索)があった点、交渉内容は常に友好的ではなかったが新羅にも対倭交渉の動きが存在した点、そして朝鮮半島側の目的があったからこそそれを利用して倭中央や日本列島の諸地域社会が渡来文化を積極的に受容し、展開させ、社会構造を変容させていった点などを指摘した。

(1) Since 1945, it has been reported that the area east of Nakdong River on the Korean Peninsula has been confirmed that the data of the Japanese archipelago has been extracted and compiled. (4)The development of ancient culture and the achievements of archaeology are integrated. Special attention is paid to the eastern part of Nakdong River (Silla region) and the intersection of Japanese archipelago, the progress of ancient history research, and the evaluation of archaeological data.
