3年間にわたる研究期間の最終年度である2007年度は、残る必要な資料の収集を終えたうえで、これまでの集めた文献を整理検討するとともに、ヨーロッパ諸国との比較検討を行いつつ、研究成果のまとめと公表準備に努めた。まず年度の前半には、新右翼政党の伸張している国としてベルギーに注目し、ベルギーに渡航の上、文書館でポピュリズムと政治変動をめぐる資料を収集した。ベルギーは、本研究開始時には一時的な躍進とも指摘されていた新右翼政党の拡大が、近年では政党配置のなかで持続的な位置を占めるようになっている国であり、経済軸と異なる脱物質主義的なアイデンティティをめぐる対立軸が定着しつつあるのではないかということを検討するうえで重要な位置を占めており、オランダでもフォルタイン死後もウィルデルス、フェルドンクらポピュリズム政治家が相次いで人気を博していることと対照させつつ、検討を行った。年度後半には、以上の各国にまたがる研究を踏まえ、オランダを軸としながらヨーロッパの新右翼の理論的位置づけについても検討した。本年に至る3年間の研究については、2008年度中に成果を学会誌に掲載すべく論文を執筆している。また2007年5月には、ベルギー・ルーフェンカトリック大学カトリック資料研究センターの研究セミナーで講演を行い、ポピュリズムの勃興と既成政党への影響を論じてベルギーの研究者たちと意見交換を行ったことはきわめて有益だった。日本におけるヨーロッパ政治研究をヨーロッパに発信していくうえでも意義深いものだったと思われる(Jiro Mizushima,"Christian Democracy and Corporatism in the Netherlands,"presented at KADOC-seminar, Leuven University,Belgium, 24 May 2007.)
