交感神経-副腎髄質(SAM)系の活性を反映する新しいストレスマーカーとして注目されている唾液中クロモグラニンAについて基礎データを収集すると共に、同マーカーを応用した調査では旅行がストレス医学の観点からも有効であること、またその効果には個々人の特性が関係することを明らかにした。さらに、ライフスタイルと包括的健康度の唾液情報論的評価を実現すべく、アディポネクチンといった新しい生活習慣病関連マーカーについて唾液測定系構築に向けた基礎調査を行った。
