本研究は、地域住民全体へのアプローチによる生活習慣病予防において、地域住民との協働により発揮する保健師の予防機能を明らかにし、住民との協働という方法を活用した生活習慣病予防介入プログラムを開発することを目的とした。文献検討並びに生活習慣病予防活動に成果をあげている保健師への聴き取り調査により行った。生活習慣病予防において効果的な支援プログラムの要素が抽出され、これらを組み合わせた支援プログラムの有用性が示唆された。
