项目摘要

本年度は、特性の起源に関する認識の発達メカニズムの解明に向けて、以下の4つの理論的・実証的研究を行った。1.発達モデル構築に向けた実験データの再分析これまでの実験・インタビュー結果を再分析し、主に次のことを明らかにした。1)特性に焦点化した社会的認知や、特性の起源の認識に基づく行動の結果のフィードバックが、特性の起源に関する認識の発達を促進する。2)特性の起源に関する認識は、特性の起源を考える際の文脈をどう組織化するかに影響を受ける(認識の状況依存性)。2.文献レビュー及び理論的展開概念発達研究、状況論・社会文化論などの知見をレビューし、発達モデルの理論的枠組みを次のように修正・洗練した。1)知識や概念の発達的変化は正事例や反証事例、類推、知識体系の構造変化だけでなく、個人による状況の組織化の変化に伴って生じる。2)概念発達における社会・文化的要因の影響は、個人が遭遇する事例などの内容を規定するだけでなく、状況や文脈の組織化の仕方を方向付ける。3.知識・概念の状況依存性に関する実証的研究小学2〜6年生340名を対象に、「特性の起源に関する認識」に及ぼす状況(課題文脈)操作の効果を実験により調べ、1)子どもは、特性の起源に関して複数の因果モデルを潜在的に持っており、課題文脈の違いにより、特定の因果モデルが構成(顕在化)される。2)状況の違いによる因果モデルの顕在化確率の変化は、年齢によって異なることを明らかにした。4.発達モデルの提案子どもは社会文化的活動に参加する中で、複数の因果説明を構成可能とするような知識データベースを増大させながら、状況の組織化の仕方を変化させ、それらが相まることで、特性の起源に関する因果説明の発達的変化が生じるという発達モデルを提案した。以上の研究成果は紀要論文や発達心理学会、九州心理学会、DECPでのポスター発表及びシンポジウムで発表した。
