早期大腸癌に対して高い検出感度を示す新規腫瘍マーカー尿中ジアセチルスペルミンは、大腸癌以外の種々の悪性の疾患に対しても優れた腫瘍マーカーとなる可能性がある。この検査を早期がん検出可能ながん検診項目として開発することを目的として、病院の検査室等で簡便に測定できる自動化測定試薬を開発し、さらに、大腸癌における治療効果、予後予測判定指標、呼吸器癌・膵臓癌の診断指標として優れた特性をもつことを明らかにした。
