Action research for sustainable community based Private Non-Profit Broadcasting : Theorizing from the model cases

Private Non-Profit Broadcasting is now being acknowledged internationally as an independent sector which can activate communication in a community and help reduce social exclusion. However, legal, financial and personal conditions for the sustainable development of this sector are still lacking in Japan. Therefore, we have tried to show possible models for support systems for the non-profit broadcasters through comparing successful cases from different countries and areas.
