本研究の目的は、FTA締結による貿易自由化が日本全体(国レベル)及び日本の各地域(地域レベル)の経済、環境にどのような影響が及ぶのかを定量的に明らかにすることである。平成20年度には次の研究成果の発表、公表を行った。まず、研究成果の発表として次の3件の学会報告を行った。平成20年7月にはInternational Conference on Sustainable Agriculture for Food,Energy,and Industry 2008にて「Environmental Impact of Agricultural Trade Liberalization:Evidence from the Simulation of a Japan-New Zealand FTA」と題したポスター報告を行った。同報告により研究代表者はポスター賞を受賞した。続いて、研究成果の一部を3本の論文として公表した。具体的には「自由貿易協定(FTA)は、むしろ自由貿易を阻害する?-原産地規則貿易制限度の計量分析-」「Environmental Impact of Agricultural Trade Liberalization:Evidence from the Simulation of a Japan-New Zealand FTA」「自由貿易協定が日本の農業生産および農業環境に及ぼす影響に関する経済分析」である。本研究の研究成果は、応用一般均衡分析と余剰窒素分析とを統合したモデルを用いて農産物貿易の自由化が農業環境に及ぼす影響を定量的に解明した研究である。今後、日本が国際交渉を進める上での基礎データとしても有用だと考える。

The purpose of this study is to determine whether Japan (national economy) and each region (regional economy) of Japan and the environment of Japan will be affected by the purpose of this study and that it will be easy to liberalize in general (national) and regional (regional).
