项目摘要

本年度は「利益率は何によって決定しているのか」という問題意識のもと、次の2つの研究をした。一つは「3つのマクロ環境要因の国家の利益率水準への影響」に関する実証研究である。利益率決定要因に関する実証的な研究の中でもマクロ環境要因に関する研究は皆無である。その分野を開拓する導入的研究として、国内需要成長率、為替レート、石油輸入価格の3つに絞り、国家の利益率の平均的水準を分析対象として、それらの影響の実証研究を行った。対象国家は日本と米国であり、対象期間は1960年から2005年であった。もう一つは「経営改革の利益率への影響」に関する実証研究である。経営効率が利益率にどの程度影響を与えるか、というテーマの中でも、一つの大規模な経営改革の利益率への影響を検証するタイプの研究は存在しない。その導入的研究を、ケーススタディーという形で行なった。対象企業は、松下電器産業である。選択の理由は、同社が中村邦夫社長在任期間に、史上稀に見る大規模な経営改革を成功させた企業だからである。なお、同社のケースは、一つ目の研究テーマとも関連づけるため、「3つのマクロ環境要因の企業の利益率への影響」のケーススタディーという視点でも研究した。以上の研究の成果は、次の形で外部公表した。一つ目の研究は、2007年6月に組織学会研究発表大会大学院生セッションにて「石油価格と為替レートの利益率水準への影響」というタイトルで発表を行ない、「「日本企業のROA水準長期的低下の論理-内需成長率、為替レート、石油輸入価格、を中心的視点として-」というタイトルで一橋大学大学院商学研究科商学博士号取得論文(2008年3月公表)という形で、論文にした。」二つ目の研究は、伊丹敬之・田中一弘・加藤俊彦・中野誠編著『松下電器の経営改革』の「第8章利益率に見る中村改革」(有斐閣より2007年12月に出版)という形で、論文にした。
