先行研究において,後天的要因な影響が大きく,他の運動(例えば,走運動や跳運動)に比べて個人差が非常に大きいオーバーハンドスロー運動においては,自己の能力に適した課題が存在し,これが学習効果に影響を及ぼすことを見出した.つまり,オーバーハンドスロー能力・動作を習得させるためには,児童の学習段階に応じた教材を関発する必要があることを意味しているといえる.そこで,児童の発育段階あるいは学習段階に応じたオーバーハンドスロー能力の改善および動作習得のための下位教材を開発することを目的とした.この目的を達成するために,平成18年度に,小学校2・5年生を対象に,オーバーハンドスロー運動学習プログラムを実施し,トレーニング効果について検討した.具体的には,教材作成のために,事前にソフトボール投げ,テニスボール投げを行わせ,記録計測およびVTR撮影を実施し,オーバーハンドスロー能力およびオーバーハンドスロー動作を評価した.また,体力,形態についても測定を実施し,課題設定に利用した.作成した教材について授業内で実施し,学習効果を確認するために,学習前に行ったものと同様の測定および撮影を実施した.平成19年度は,最終的な目的である「児童の発達段階に応じた教材」を開発するために,引き続き同一被検者(小学校3・6年生)において,平成18年度の同様の教材の実施および測定を実施し,縦断的な教材実施効果を検討した.
