项目摘要

昨年度の調査・研究によって、インカ土器、とくにアリバロと称される壺形土器と台付き鍋の成形技法については、先行研究との異同を含めて多くの知見を得ることができた。本年度は、この成果を確認し、またさらなる資料を蓄積するために、8月から9月にかけて南米エクアドル共和国に渡航し、同国南部高地におけるインカ時代の「行政センター」遺跡出土土器の詳細な観察および資料化を継続的に実施した。この結果、基本的に昨年度の知見が再確認されるとともに、土器製作技術における成形以外の点、すなわち焼成などについても、いくつかの観察ポイントを確認することができた。これらの成果の一部は、研究ノートの形でまとめた。一方、学史的研究をふまえて、本課題がテーマとするインカ土器の生産体制復元と編年構築において、土器製作遺跡の調査・研究を将来的に実施することが重要であることが再確認された。そこで本年度は、これまでの断片的な調査によって、インカ時代における土器製作拠点であったと判断されるエクアドル南部高地のコヒタンボ遺跡周辺において、簡易的な一般調査を実施した。これにより、これまで未報告であり、おそらくインカ時代に比定可能な遺構を複数確認することができた。また、同遺跡周辺域では現在でも土器作りが継承されており、製作者に対する聞き取り調査によって、成形技法・成形道具、生地の準備などについて、インカ土器の製作について考察する際にも有益な情報を得ることができた。これら本年度の成果をもとに、現在、本格的な一般調査と、それを基盤とした発掘調査を計画中である。
