磁場閉じ込め核融合に用いられるトーラス型プラズマにおける巨視的な理想磁気流体平衡に対し、強い流れがあり複数の微視的な効果をもつ新しい平衡モデルを構築し、それらの性質を理論的・数値的に解析した。新しい定式化は、十分に解明されていなかった流れをもつ理想磁気流体平衡に対しても重要な知見を与え、それに対して微視的効果が付加されたときの流れをもつ平衡の物理的・数学的な性質の変化を詳細に解析することができた。
