交感神経の支配下で機能する汗腺や末梢血管は重要な微小器官であり、そのダイナミックな生理機能を解明することが重要である。本研究では、光コヒーレンストモグラフィ(OCT)を用いて、ヒト指汗腺や小動脈の生理機能を可視化した。汗腺においては、外部刺激に反応する精神性発汗の動的解析を行い、新たに内部発汗を見出した。小動脈においては、脈動を観測し、弾性型動脈と筋型動脈として同時に機能することを明らかにした。
