多戦略的プロテオーム・ペプチドーム解析による消化器癌を対象としたバイオマーカー探索を行った結果、膵癌の新しい血清予後マーカーと原発性肝細胞癌のあらたな病理診断マーカーの検出と同定に成功した。さらに発癌促進的にはたらく習慣飲酒の新しいバイオマーカーを同定した。また、血清ペプチドーム解析を臨床検査へ応用する際に必須な検体のプレアナリシスの基礎的検討を行い、共通のプロトコールを確立することができた。
