This textlinguistic study provides a new approach to "ellipsis phenomena", which occur with different frequency among languages. The general findings from the investigation are as follows:1. The ellipsis phenomena result from different strategies for reference in the text, deixis and anaphor. They are realized language specifically.2. These strategies determine not only occurrences of the ellipsis phenomena, but also the whole grammatical structure of the language concerned.

这种语篇语言学研究为研究不同语言中出现频率不同的“省略现象”提供了一种新的方法。调查的主要结果如下：1.省略现象的产生是由于语篇中的指称策略、指示语和回指语的不同。它们是语言具体实现的。这些策略不仅决定了省略现象的发生，而且决定了语言的整体语法结构。
