本研究は,発展途上国において劣悪な環境で希少金属を採掘している人びと(スモールスケールマイナー)を対象にした環境保全教育ツールのプログラムを開発することである.研究過程では,アジア地域での文化人類学的調査,既存の教育ツールの収集と評価,国際機関を利用したワークショップなどでの成果報告と評価分析を実施した.研究期間内に4回のコロキウムの開催,国際会議での5 回の口頭発表を行った.発表した論文は研究チーム全体で21,著作は2つを数えている.
