我々は形質転換した濾胞性リンパ腫におけるIgK遺伝子との染色体転座から、6q25に位置しリンパ球に発現する新規癌抑制遺伝子候補TFLを同定した。TFLには2つのスプライスバリアントP58TFL、P36TFLが存在し、いずれもBa/F3やJurkat細胞に過剰発現させると、Rbリン酸化の抑制を介してG1期からS期への移行が抑制された。またP58TFLは細胞質内に顆粒状に存在し、P-bodyマーカーとの共局在も認められた。CCCHタイプのジンクフィンガーを有しP-bodyと局在するP58TFLは、Rbの上流の分子の転写後調節を介して、細胞増殖の制御に重要な役割を果たすと考えられた。
