本研究では、ケモカインCCL21-serとCCL19の発現を欠く突然変異マウス(plt)を用いて、ヘルパーT細胞の分化誘導におけるCCL19、CCL21の関与を検討した。Th1タイプの反応を優位に誘導するアジュバントを用いた免疫でも、抗原の種類によっては、pltマウスでTh1タイプの反応が抑制されることが示唆された。また、pltマウスではIL-17の産生低下も認められ、CCL19、CCL21はTh1、Th2、Th17などのヘルパーT細胞の分化誘導に重要な役割を担っていることが示唆された。
