新規光増感剤ATX-70は、培養ヒト有棘細胞癌細胞に対し光力学ならびに音響力学効果を示し、培養マウスメラノーマ細胞に対しても70%以上の細胞死を生じる音響力学効果がみられた。メラノーマモデルマウスに対して、ATX-70の濃度、超音波照射時間の延長など様々な条件で施行したが、臨床的および組織学的に有意な音響力学作用は認められず、さらなる研究が必要である。
