唾液中に分泌されるホルモンや免疫物質を、精神的ストレスの客観的評価指標(バイオマーカー)として利用することを目的とした。本研究では、パソコン作業による断続的な精神作業負荷に対する五種類のバイオマーカーを同時・経時的に評価したところ、(1)ストレス反応の時定数の差異に基づくと思われる各バイオマーカーの反応特性の相違を発見し、(2)さらに、それを参照することで、いわゆる精神ストレスの"蓄積"の生理的評価手法となり得ることを示した。
