本研究は、18世紀末から19世紀前半のドイツ近代刑事法の成立・発展の過程を当時の大学教育のあり方と関連づけて理解することを試みるものであり、成果は次の三点である。1.刑事法学が大学の講義科目として確立され、充実化されていく過程を明らかにした。2.精神医学・心理学と刑事法との関わりが大学の授業の中にどのように現れているかを明らかにした。3.当時の演習形式の授業の中で刑事法がどう扱われているかを明らかにした。
