本研究は二酸化炭素(CO2)の臨界点近傍でCO2とジエチルカーボネート(DEC)とを混合させたときに現れる大きな発熱に着目し,この熱効果を利用した環境対応型の給熱システムの実用化を目的として着手したものである.本研究は大きく分けて次の(1),(2)から構成されており,いかにその成果を示す.(1)現有の給熱システムの試料供給部の改良,ならびに高流量の流体に対しても恒常的に混合熱を回収可能な給熱システムの製作本システムの安定稼働を目的として,試料供給部に吐き出し空気量の大きなコンプレッサーを導入した.新規コンプレッサー導入後に混合熱回収実験を行った.その結果,最大回収熱量およびCOP(成績係数)ともにこれまでのシステムにおける結果と比較して上昇し,流体の高流量における給熱システムの安定稼働が可能となった.(2)CO2+環境負荷低減物質系の混合熱の測定CO2と組み合わせる流体としてDEC以外に大きな熱効果が得られるかどうかの検索を,混合熱の測定を通して行った.今回はMTBEならびにγ-ブチルラクトンに着目し,CO2+MTBE,+γ-ブチルラクトン系の混合熱の測定を行った.その結果,2系の発熱の最大値は約7.8または8.0 kJ mol-1であり,CO2+DEC系の発熱の最大値約9 kJ mol-1に比較してやや小さい値となった.しかし,既往のCO2+溶剤系の最大値約5 kJ mol-1に比較して約1.6倍に達しており,溶剤検索の有用な成果であると考えられる.
