项目摘要

これまでの研究では、自我枯渇時に既達成の目標が自己制御の不全を正当化する「ライセンス」として機能することを確認してきた。他方、その影響プロセスは未検証であった。そこで平成28年度は、前年度の実験結果を踏まえ、既達成の目標によるセルフ・ライセンシングの生起メカニズムを、より詳細に明らかにすることを試みた。具体的には、自我枯渇は自己制御の発揮をめぐる心理的葛藤（自己制御を発揮すべき vs. 自己制御を発揮したくない）を生み、既達成の目標の想起はその葛藤を解消することで自己制御の不全を正当化するという予測のもと、実験をおこなった。まず、自我枯渇操作の後、既達成の目標の想起を操作した。その後、心理的葛藤の測定をおこなった上で、自己制御課題を実施した。自我枯渇操作には、Number-Letter Taskを一部改変したものを用いた。この課題は、四分割の画面に呈示される英数字をルールに従い、分類するものだった。自我枯渇の有無を操作するため、ルールの内容を操作した。具体的には、枯渇条件では、英数字が画面の上半分に呈示された場合は数字が偶数か奇数かを回答し、下半分に呈示された場合は英字が母音か子音かを回答するよう求めた。他方、統制条件では、英数字の呈示位置にかかわらず、数字の偶奇を回答するよう求めた。既達成の目標の操作として、大学生のアンケートと称した課題を実施した。想起条件では、ここ数年で達成した「目標」を1つ記述するよう求めた。他方、統制条件では、ここ数年でおこなった「習慣」を1つ記述するよう求めた。心理的葛藤の測定には質問尺度を用い、自己制御課題にはストループ課題を用いた。結果、操作によって心理的葛藤やストループ課題の遂行に有意な差はみられなかった。この原因としては、自我枯渇操作の強度や心理的葛藤の測定手法等の問題が挙げられる。今後は、これらの問題を改善した研究の実施が望まれる。
