项目摘要

色の誘目性とは「特に何を見ようという目的を持っていない人の目を引きやすい性質」のことを言う．色の誘目性は文章の「強調したい箇所」「重要な箇所」，または工場・鉱山・学校・病院などの事業者の案内，災害の防止，救急体制のための表示に利用されている．一般に暖色系の色相で誘目性が高く，寒色系の色相で誘目性が低い．しかし色弱者にとっては一般的な感覚で使われている誘目性の高い色で描かれた重要事項を見つけるのに時間がかかったり，見つけられなかったりすることもある．これまでの研究で色の発見にかかる時間を計測したものはほとんどない．結果：P型被験者の赤や橙の発見に時間がかかっていることからC型被験者に比べ赤では7倍の時間がかかり，橙では4倍の時間がかかっていると言える． P型被験者から，橙は色が見えているのではなくその部分だけ図形がないように見えるとの声があった．そのため赤よりも橙の発見時間が早かったからと言って橙の誘目性が高いことにはならない．このことから単純に誘目性が高い色として橙を使うのはよくないだろう．すべての被験者にとって黄色は5秒以内に発見できていることから誘目性の高い色として有効に使うことができる．本研究では，P型，D型およびC型被験者を対象に色刺激を発見できた時間を計測し，各被験者の結果を計測することで色覚少数派と色覚多数派の色の誘目性にどのくらいの差があるのかを比較した．その結果一般に誘目性が高いとされている赤ではC型被験者に対しP型被験者は7倍，橙では4倍の発見時間がかかった．これらから，色の誘目性をユニバーサルデザインに活かすには色覚少数派と色覚多数派との差が小さい緑や黄が有効になってくるといえる．
