2019年度末より世界的な拡大を見せたコロナ禍により、前々年度・前年度（2020年度・2021年度）に引き続き、本年度（2022年度）に後ろ倒しして実施を計画していたイギリスでの資料調査は、これを行なうことができなかった。また、中間的な研究報告を行なうことによって研究の彫琢のための重要なステップと位置付けられる国際学会への参加は、自身のワクチン接種回数から課されるであろう帰国後の隔離期間を考慮すると現実的ではなく、見合わさざるを得なかった。以上のような事情から本年度予算を執行することを断念し、当該補助事業期間延長を願い出ることとした。
