事故や病気が原因で失った身体の一部や、細胞・器官を再生し機能回復させる再生医療には大きな期待が寄せられている。そこで細胞培養における高度な無菌環境や、細胞の品質確保、さらには細胞の迅速・大量な培養といったニーズがますます高まってきている。本研究では間葉系幹細胞に成長因子増殖法を応用したところ、従来法と比較して5~10倍の速度で増殖した。細胞の多孔性坦体への侵入効率を上げるために減圧下(100mg)で細胞播種し、還流培養装置を用いて細胞が常に新鮮な培養液と接するような培養システムを構築し良好な結果が得られた。Scaffoldに関してはアンモニアガスを用い、凍結乾燥処理をして得られたハニカム状凹型構造スポンジ体を作成し、細胞の坦体への細胞接着が良好となった。
