全国6地域における入院している子どもの父母を対象に, 家族機能, QOL, 自己効力感, ソーシャルサポート等について質問紙調査を行った. 調査の結果, 病気で入院している子どもをもつ家族の機能として, 家族関係を良好に保つ機能の高さが窺えた. 父母ともに入院中は普段の生活よりも家族からのサポートを受けていると評価しているなど, ソーシャルサポートや地域性などの社会的因子と家族機能との関連が示唆された
