本研究の目的は、今後、多くの心の問題を持つ児童と、その家族を援助の対象とする一般小児科看護師への、精神看護的観点から支援を行うための教育プログラムの開発である。教育プログラムの受け手である一般小児科看護師の学習の利便性や学習の継続を促すために、eラーニングを用いる。本研究により、一般小児科看護師の力量の向上、ひいては心の問題を持つ児童とその家族がよりよいケアを受けられることを目指している。本研究は、一般小児科看護師のニーズならびに児童精神科看護師の実践知把握、全国調査、eラーニングプログラム開発・実施・評価という3部構成により実施した。児童の心の問題のケアにあたる看護職者の実践知の収集のために、児童精神科ならびに小児科看護師に対し、日頃の看護実践、困難、解決法、有用であると考える教育資源について聞き取り調査を行った。その結果、児童精神科では高度な専門的知識・治療的態度および多職種連携について、小児科では主に児・家族への援助期間の短さによる援助の不十分さ、精神医学的知識の不足等が明らかとなり、両者に共通する困難として家族への援助が明らかとなった。この結果に基づいた質問紙を作成し、全国の計500の児童精神科および小児科看護師に対し困難・教育ニーズに関し調査中である。eラーニングプログラムは上記の聞き取り調査結果を加味、かつ英米における児童精神保健システムや教材を参考に、児童のみならず家族をも対象とした内容を盛り込んだパイロット版を作成した。対象の特性としてネット接続のインフラが不十分である場合が多々あり、オフラインでの電子媒体教材を作成し、現在も精錬中である。学会および学術雑誌等において成果を発表する予定である。
