项目摘要

本年度は、次のような作業を行った。第１に、昨年度作成した「強制栽培制度」の教材の原案と、その背景説明として使用する、簡略なインドネシア（ジャワ島）および日本の比較史の原案を、学会および研究会で発表し、コメントを得た。「強制栽培制度」については日本の研究会で発表し、大学教員、高校教諭、大学院生などからコメントを得た。その結果、複雑な成立経緯について使用する用語および語り方をより解り易くする必要が判明した。これに対して「強制栽培制度」導入部の位置づけを持つインドネシア（ジャワ島）および日本の比較史については、グローバル・ヒストリーの研究と教育をメインテーマとする国際学会で発表し、海外の研究者などからコメントを得た。比較史については、多くの研究者に極めて易しいとの印像を持たれたため、よりアカデミックにする必要が判明した。第２に、強制栽培制度期の東南アジアにおける各地の動向および地域システムについて、欧米（特にアメリカ）、インド、中国を視野に入れつつ考察を進めた。またスラバヤに関して個別論文を作成した。その結果、東南アジアの動向についてジャワ島の「強制栽培制度」導入の記述に盛り込むと、より解りやすくなる部分があることが判明し、導入期「強制栽培制度」を東南アジア地域の変動の中に位置づける工夫をした。第３に、オランダ等において、絵画など教材に使用するビジュアル資料、およびその入手情報を収集した。第４に、以上を踏まえて日本語の原稿を執筆し、ほぼ完成させた。
