项目摘要

本年度は、主に研究計画書の三年次の内容(新しい公共空間論の構想)にあたる研究をおこなった。かならずしもアーレントの著作の読解にこだわらず考察を深め、公共空間をめぐる著作の刊行のメドをつけることに帰着した。それは、二〇一一年五月に以文社から刊行される。表題名は『空間のために』である。生活世界の荒廃という問題状況について、空間論という観点から理論的に考察をすすめ、その状況の乗り越えのための展望を構想しようと試みた。なお、『現代思想』二〇一一年三月号に発表した論文「過剰人類・壁・亀裂」は、この著書の一部分である。また、これと並行し、アーレントの権利をもつ権利の現代的な意義についての考察を、論文としてまとめた。『全体主義の起原』で提起された権利をもつ権利の概念が、のちの公共空間論へと展開されたこと、このような公共空間論が現代の思想状況において重要な意義をもつことを論じた。これは『社会思想史学会』に投稿したが、査読を経て、掲載許可となった(2012年秋に刊行される)。さらに、『建築雑誌』の「未来のスラム」特集のために原稿を依頼され、「来るべきスラム化に備えて」と題した論考を書いた。これは研究員の二年次に刊行した、マイク・デイヴィスの『スラムの惑星』の翻訳に即しつつ、生活空間の荒廃という問題について理論的考察を行なったものである。この論考も、以文社からの著書『空間のために』の一部分である。
