项目摘要

伯太藩の地方支配について、17世紀後期～18世紀中期までの陣屋の展開と実態について検討した。同藩領における地方支配の枠組みである「郷」の運営実態把握のため、18世紀初頭領内で「触頭」を務めた庄屋家の史料群を分析し、享保13(1728)年の伯太陣屋設置経緯について、(1)陣屋所在地の変更が大坂定番の退役と連動する、(2)定番退役の前後では陣屋それ自体の機能や構成が異なる、(3)17世紀末の領内に設置された各郷の「触頭」もそうした藩の体制と関わって特殊な役割を担ったことなど、先行研究の少ない大坂定番大名の特質の一例を解明した。また、泉州泉郡の伯太藩領・大和小泉藩の相給村落である池上村の構造を検討し、17世紀末にかけて、検地が規定した「本郷」「出作」という村請制の枠組みと、集落単位の「捌き高」という、村請制村と集落秩序双方の位相による規定を受けつつ、「本郷」と2つの「出作」という3村請制村が成立する様相を明らかにした。これまでの研究成果や近年の地域社会論の進展を踏まえて執筆した博士論文では、畿内譜代小藩の領主支配と村落社会の構造を、伯太藩領泉州泉郡の組合村「下泉郷」の社会関係に集約して論じることで、村落社会レベルから領主支配の構造を捉えなおすことを試みた。本論(第1部「下泉郷平野部の相給村落-泉郡池上村を事例として」(1～4章)、第II部「山里春木川村の村落秩序と領主支配」(5・6章+補論)、第III部「陣屋元伯太村と下泉郷の地域社会」(7～9章))と序章・終章を通して、地域社会論における組合村論や畿内の領主支配論、旗本知行所研究、村落社会論などを整理し、地域史研究の視座から、上述の分析を含む畿内小藩の組合村や陣屋支配の実態と特質を指摘した。

From the late 17th century to the mid-18th century, the development of the array house was discussed.
