项目摘要

1.知覚の哲学に関する研究2009年11月に開催された第42回科学哲学会(高千穂大学)にて、「知覚の命題的構造-概念主義の経験的基盤の探究-」というタイトルのもとで発表を行った。当発表は、私が主要な研究対象としている知覚経験の概念主義について、経験的基盤に基づいたその新たなモデルを提案するものであった。そのなかで、私は「知覚経験が成立する過程において、世界からの非概念的な情報が何らかの仕方で概念化され、命題的な構造を獲得する」という仮説を立て、その仮説を指示する経験的理論として、ゼノン・ピリシンの視覚的インデックス理論とモハン・マッテンの感覚的分類理論を取り上げ、それらを合わせて新たな知覚モデルを提示するとともに、その含意を考察した。本発表は論文のかたちにまとめられ、現在同学会の学会誌へと投稿中である。2.脳神経倫理学に関する研究2009年9月、カナダで開催された脳神経倫理学の国際学会"Brain Matters : New Directions in Neuroethics"に参加し、"Neuroethical Considerations of the Concept of Invasiveness"(「侵襲性概念の脳神経倫理学的検討」)というタイトルで発表を行った。本発表は2009年3月に出版されたUTCP Booklet 8『エンハンスメント・社会・人間性』に寄稿した同名の論文に基づくものである。当発表においては、若手研究者を対象としたBrain Matters : Trainee Award Abstract Competitionを受賞した。また、2010年3月にはUTCP Booklet 15『脳科学時代の倫理と社会』が出版され、拙論「ニューロマーケティングに関する倫理的考察-疑似科学化と消費者の自律性」が掲載された。私は本論文で、脳科学とマーケティングの融合分野として近年登場した「ニューロマーケティング」について、その社会的・倫理的な問題性を「疑似科学化の問題」と「自律性侵害の問題」の二つの側面から考察した。本論文に関しては、完成稿の内容をメルボルンで開催された国際ワークショップ"Brain Science and Ethics"にて発表した。
