Scientometric research on formation of research centers in the COE program

本研究以科研人员信息、论文信息、科研资助数据库、专利与实用新型公报信息为联动指标，分析了COE项目采用的研究中心的发展趋势和成果，明确了研究中心、大学体系、研究领域的特点和研究人员的特点。因此，研究的成长过程因领域的不同而不同，研究者的职业道路在某些领域明显可见。此外，研究领域的特点、科研资助的获得情况和专利的申请情况也各不相同。

In this research authors analyzed the trends and outcomes of the research centers adopted for the COE program, and made clear features of the research centers, system of the university and fields of research and researcher's characteristics using the researchers information, thesis information, database of Grants-in-Aids for Scientific Research, and the Patent & Utility Model Gazette Information, as linkage indexes. As a result, the process of the growth of the research was different depending on the field, and researcher's career path was obviously seen in some fields. Moreover, it was found that the feature of the research field, the acquisition situation of Grants-in-Aids for Scientific Research and the application situation of the patent, was various.
