A major task of this research project was to collect and compile a corpus of natural conversation data in the Hokkaido dialect of Japanese. An investigation of the corpus data and other databases revealed some dialectal characteristics of the meaning/function of the conjunction sosite and also some dialectally marked differences between the causative markers -raseru and -saseru. A comparative study of Japanese and English sentence-final conjunctions raised some analytical problems with the final but phenomenon notably observed in Australian and other varieties of English.

本研究课题的主要任务是收集和编制一个日本北海道方言的自然会话语料库。通过对语料库和其他数据库的调查，揭示了连词sosite的意义/功能的一些方言特征，以及致使标记-raseru和-saseru之间的一些方言标记差异。对日语和英语中的“后尾连词”进行了比较研究，提出了一些分析问题，但这一现象在澳大利亚语和其他英语变体中尤为明显。
