The outer skin can be observed simply. Therefore we administered acetaldehyde to the Aldh2-deficient mice subcutaneously. Squamous cell carcinomas occurred on the back skins of the Aldh2--deficient mice and we examined them molecular biologically and pathologically.It is well known that the Aldh2-deficient individuals should have greater risks of the incidence of the oropharyngeal or the esophageal cancer by drinking.We apply this result to the medical treatment and the prevention of cancers.
