The development and implementation of a training program for mentors in foreign language e-learning

摘要本研究的目的是开发一套外语网络学习导师培训计划。为了实现这一目标，两种类型的研究相结合：一种研究导师如何帮助学习者在电子学习环境中学习外语；另一种是通过研究文献（在世界各地出版）来检验导师在这种环境中扮演的角色和他们所拥有的技能。根据研究结果，我们重新定义了导师的角色和可能适应日本外语学习的技能。在此基础上，我们构建了另一个网络学习导师培训项目。

The object of the present study is to develop a program to train mentors in foreign language e-learning. To achieve this goal, two types of research are combined : one studies how mentors help learners learn their foreign language in an e-learning setting ; the other examines, by researching literature (published all over the world), the roles mentors in such settings play and the skills they possess. From the findings, we have redefined mentors' roles and skills that can possibly be adapted to the foreign language learning in Japan. Furthermore, based on the results, we have constructed yet another training program for e-learning mentors.
