3年間の研究期間で8校18授業(14科目)合計1,080分の授業取材を行い、所定の予定通り教員の口話、手話および生徒の手話等の文字起こしを完了し、用語等の集計、分析を行った。また、これをもとに研究協力教員の参加の下、研究協議会を開催し、内容を精査した。結果は概ね以下のとおりである。・どちらかに断定的したくない婉曲的な表現が、生徒には結果的に断定的に伝わっている。・意味的には似ているが、その距離感が伝わりにくい言い回し。・本来の内容を、後に続く説明から、その捉え方の違いによって結論としてのイメージが逆転して伝わる。・「比較的」等、具体的な2者の比較を意図しなくても、生徒には比較しているように伝わる。等、造形的価値観形成に関して負の影響を及ぼすと思われる表現等の存在およびその影響力について確認された。これらのことから、聴覚障害あるいはいわゆる聾教育の特性から、抽象概念が伝え難く、従って造形的価値観形成には相応の時間と工夫を要することが確認された。言いかえればよりシンプルな、敢えて言えば年齢不相応な幼稚な情報処理構造ではあるが、工夫と時間によって補い得る状態であることを意味すると考えられる。これについては手話通訳者の視点からも同様の見解が得られた。全日聾研での発表により、研究協力校以外の多くの聾学校教諭、聾研究者と研究意義を共有するとともに建設的なご意見等をいただくことができた。また、国際学会での発表を機に韓国ナザレ大学から取材協力を取り付け、急遽行った調査からも同様の状況が確認され、以後の共同研究への道筋を構築できた。本研究により、当初の仮説について、その原因が確認されるとともに、その対処法について見通しが得られた。
